What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Talent Shift?
We are looking for an experienced Controller for our global insurance client on a project basis. This contract role is fully remote and expected to conclude in 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP & STAT
- Oversee internal controls over financial reporting and drive continuous improvement
- Monitor changes in statutory accounting standards and assess their impact
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 10 years of life & annuity insurance accounting experience
- 5 years of Controllership experience
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
