We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of a growing marine industry retail organization with complex mechanical and multi-component products. This role is ideal for a retail or operations leader who has driven e-commerce or digital transformation initiatives and wants full P&L responsibility and the opportunity to build operational structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory, fulfillment, and customer experience.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
- Lead, train, and mentor a high-performing team; ensure alignment with business goals.
- Implement and optimize digital tools, CRM, POS, and inventory management systems.
- Drive operational excellence with SOPs, process improvements, and performance KPIs.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex customer issues and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing, sales, and operational strategies.
Qualifications
- 5 years of leadership experience in retail operations, multi-unit management, or store leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven success in e-commerce, digital transformation, POS/CRM rollout, or omnichannel initiatives.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced retail or technical environment.
- Track record of improving operational processes, inventory accuracy, and customer experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Experience or knowledge of both fulfillment center and/or drop ship processes is highly preferred.
- Understanding of the marine industry is a plus.
