📍 Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Hybrid – Onsite Every Wednesday)

Seeking an IT Vendor Manager to oversee vendor relationships, contract performance, and compliance with state IT standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring IT vendors deliver high-value, secure, and cost-effective services.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors (software, hardware, cloud, IT consulting)
• Lead vendor performance/business reviews
• Act as main escalation point for vendor issues and disputes

• Oversee negotiation, execution, and renewal of IT SOWs
• Ensure contracts align with legal, financial & operational standards
• Monitor SLAs, KPIs, compliance, and vendor performance metrics
• Work closely with legal and procurement teams

• Track vendor spend and align with IT budgets
• Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks (cybersecurity, data privacy, operational continuity)
• Support audits and IT compliance processes

• Track vendor issues, escalations, and change requests
• Support resolution of service disruptions and disputes
• Document change control approvals

• Coordinate vendor meetings, demos, and onboarding
• Share vendor performance updates, risks, and contract changes

✔ Vendor management for IT services (software, hardware, cloud, consulting)

✔ Tracking SLAs, KPIs, risk metrics & driving corrective actions

✔ Knowledge of IT procurement, cybersecurity, data privacy & accessibility

✔ Strategic vendor portfolio management

✔ Market research for IT technologies & vendor selection

✔ Benchmarking vendor pricing & service levels

🎓 Bachelor’s degree 2 years of relevant full-time experience.

🟦 Hybrid – MUST be onsite every Wednesday

🟦 Strong preference for local/nearby candidates
