Job Summary
The Quality Specialist, Medical QC is responsible for reviewing, validating, and auditing medical record data and case chronologies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to defined quality standards. This role serves as a critical quality control function within medical documentation workflows used in litigation case preparation.
The position requires strong clinical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to independently assess complex medical records. The successful candidate will ensure consistency and accuracy across review outputs while supporting adherence to internal processes and criteria.
Core Responsibilities
- Review medical record chronologies for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Conduct structured quality control audits across case files and review outputs.
- Identify missing or inconsistent information and document corrective actions.
- Track, log, and report errors, discrepancies, and quality trends.
- Recommend case approval or escalation decisions based on review outcomes.
- Maintain audit documentation and communicate findings to management.
- Support development and refinement of QC systems and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth case progression.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within medical review workflows.
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Active RN or Nurse Practitioner licence.
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong inpatient clinical background.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, lab interpretation, and disease processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, Outlook, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

USD $70,000 - $75,000
