Our client is a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing company experiencing double-digit year-over-year growth. Recently acquired by a multi-billion dollar public company, they are scaling their operations and investing in top talent to support their continued success.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close, and preparing financial reporting. This individual will play a critical role in supporting job costing, WIP accounting, and process improvement initiatives. Partnering closely with plant leadership and the Business Unit Controller, the Accounting Manager will provide financial insights that drive decision-making and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
- Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Manage job costing, WIP reporting, and cost accounting processes for manufacturing operations.
- Partner with plant leadership to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Identify and drive process improvements across accounting workflows and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure ERP system is properly utilized to capture and report on job costing and manufacturing activity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong exposure to manufacturing environments.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, job costing, and WIP accounting.
- ERP system experience required (manufacturing ERP strongly preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
