Job Title - Senior Identity (Ping) Engineer
Location - Tysons, Virginia (Hybrid – onsite 3 days per week)
Role Type - 6-Month Contract
Must Have Skills:
- 7 years of IAM engineering/architecture experience
- 5 years of hands-on experience with the full Ping Identity suite
- Deep expertise with PingFederate, PingID, Ping Directory, and PingOne
- Strong experience implementing passwordless authentication using FIDO2, WebAuthn, and Passkeys
- Expert understanding of SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, and LDAP
Responsibilities and Job Details:
- Serve as the Ping Identity SME and platform owner across a large enterprise environment
- Lead architecture, design, deployment, and scaling of Ping Identity solutions
- Support both workforce SSO and customer IAM (CIAM) environments
- Configure and support PingFederate, PingID, Ping Directory, PingOne, PingOne MFA, PingOne Protect, and PingOne Verify
- Design complex identity workflows and authentication journeys using PingOne DaVinci
- Lead enterprise rollout of Passkeys and passwordless authentication
- Support on-prem, private cloud, and SaaS-based PingOne architectures
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across the Ping ecosystem
- Integrate Ping Identity with Microsoft Entra ID and other IdP/IdM technologies
- Document architecture, workflows, and operational procedures
- Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders across multiple concurrent IAM initiatives
