What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Category Manager, R&D Procurement position at Talent Groups?
🔹 What we're looking for:
• 5 years of Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management experience
• Deep understanding of Pharmaceutical R&D and Clinical Development processes
• Experience supporting Phase I-IV clinical trials and R&D organizations
• Expertise in sourcing and managing CROs, CDMOs, clinical service providers, laboratories, and research suppliers
• Strong RFx management, contract negotiation, supplier qualification, and vendor management experience
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Clinical Operations, Quality, Legal, and Finance
• Knowledge of GxP, GMP, and/or GCP environments preferred
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or similar procurement platforms

✔ Develop and execute category strategies for R&D spend
✔ Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
✔ Build strategic supplier relationships and drive supplier performance
✔ Partner with scientific and clinical teams to support research and development objectives
✔ Deliver cost savings, risk mitigation, and value creation initiatives
