Position Summary
The Product Manager – Wear and Consumable Parts is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for wear and consumable product families within the aftermarket segment. This role will work across multiple equipment lines to identify and drive product opportunities that improve customer value and increase market share. The Product Manager serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure cohesive product lifecycle management and successful new product development (NPD).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strategic Product Roadmap for assigned product families.
- Conduct market research, including competitive analysis, customer needs (VOC), and business needs (VOB).
- Lead new product development (NPD) initiatives, including project planning, business case creation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on cost, design, scheduling, and vendor sourcing.
- Work with Marketing to craft product positioning, trade show strategies, and product messaging.
- Track and analyze key metrics such as unit sales, revenue, gross margin, and market share.
- Provide product training and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sales and internal teams.
- Stay informed on market trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies that could impact product lines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and values.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; business education/experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management, sales, or engineering roles.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in strategic planning and execution at both tactical and strategic levels.
- Comfortable writing business cases, technical documentation, and delivering presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
