Job Description
The Corporate Accountant will support FP&A and Accounting by managing the accrual process, preparing journal entries, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role focuses on performing monthly/quarterly reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, and contributing to process improvements across the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and streamline FP&A accrual processes, including booking and ownership of related tasks.
- Prepare reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger systems.
- Create and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries (monthly/quarterly).
- Perform monthly/quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting team.
- Maintain and enhance existing internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
- 5 years in corporate accounting
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software – Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic work environment
