Position Summary:

We are seeking senior-level Calypso Developers (contracting role) to support a strategic Calypso platform implementation hosted in AWS within our Capital Markets Technology group. This is a 6-month contract position, with potential extension up to 12 months based on program needs and performance.

The role will focus on building scalable front-to-back solutions across trading, risk, and back-office functions using Calypso and Java, with strong expertise in cloud deployment (AWS) and CI/CD pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance Calypso modules (Trade, Collateral, Risk, Back Office) for front-to-back trading workflows
• Develop custom Calypso engines, workflows, and APIs using Java and Calypso SDK
• Support integration with internal and external systems using REST, SOAP, MQ, or other messaging protocols
• Participate in deployment, monitoring, and optimization of Calypso in AWS cloud environments
• Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines and version-controlled deployments using modern DevOps tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Ops, Tech, and external vendors
• Support Calypso upgrade efforts, bug fixes, and performance tuning

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of enterprise Java development experience in capital markets or financial systems
• 8 years of hands-on Calypso development experience across multiple versions and functional modules
• Strong experience developing with Calypso APIs, engine customization, and workflow configurations
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Calypso in AWS Cloud, including EC2, RDS, IAM, etc.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, etc.) and cloud-native deployment tools
• Experience with capital markets products: FX, IRD, Credit Derivatives, Fixed Income, Repo
• Experience with Oracle/PLSQL and integration frameworks like JMS, Kafka, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Calypso SaaS or Calypso version 16
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk)
• Experience supporting regulatory or risk reporting initiatives
• Agile development experience using JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across globally distributed teams
