Salary: $55,000–$65,000/year, based on experience
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Smash My Trash is looking for an Operations amp; Logistics Coordinator to help lead our growing Virginia Beach/Newport News operation.
This isn’t a desk-only coordinator position. We’re looking for someone who can coordinate the operation, lead and support drivers, work with customers, manage fleet needs, and jump into the field when needed.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
You’ll work closely with ownership to keep daily operations running efficiently, including:
- Coordinating drivers and ensuring routes are completed
- Supporting and training drivers
- Riding along on routes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Communicating with customers by phone, text and email
- Managing customer retention check-ins
- Coordinating truck maintenance, repairs and service
- Responding to breakdowns and helping get trucks back in service
- Maintaining accurate customer and operational information in the CRM
- Conducting truck and equipment checks
- Tracking equipment inventory
- Leading Monday morning safety meetings
- Supporting and recognizing crew performance
- Identifying potential sales opportunities and passing leads to the sales team
- Serving as a backup driver when operationally necessary
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re especially interested in candidates with 1–3 years of experience in:
Dispatch Logistics, Fleet Coordination, Route Operations, Field Service, Trucking, Waste/Hauling, Construction, Operations Support
The ideal candidate has experience:
- Coordinating or managing a small team of drivers or field employees
- Scheduling vehicle/equipment maintenance and repairs
- Handling customer communication by phone, email and text
- Working with CRM systems
- Using Excel or Google Sheets for basic tracking and reporting
- Solving operational problems quickly and calmly
- Holding themselves and others accountable
You’ll also need a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and must be willing and physically able to learn to operate the Smash My Trash truck and provide backup driving coverage when necessary.
Candidates must be able to pass a DOT physical, background check and drug screening.
