Financial Controller

Globally recognized Food Manufacturing company seeks Controller to join their growing brand.

Salary: 160k-165k with 30% Bonus potential

Location: Fully Onsite at Corporate office in Ranch Cucamonga

Reports to: CFO

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and prepare accurate, timely financial statements and variance analyses.
• Manage the general ledger, accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, shrink/spoilage tracking, and FIFO costing.
• Direct accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, payroll, cash management, and collections.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
• Analyze product, customer, and commodity profitability to support pricing and purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, food safety, traceability, and PACA requirements (if applicable).
• Coordinate year-end financial reviews, tax preparation, and external CPA relationships.
• Partner with operations, procurement, logistics, and sales to improve cost controls and margins.
• Drive process improvements across financial systems, controls, and reporting.
• Provide financial leadership for capital investments and key operational projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are preferred
• Food and Beverage Manufacturing Experience (strongly preferred)
• Proficient with PowerBI
• Accounting AND Finance Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5 years experience in the area
• Proficiency with current financial software
• Understanding of US GAAP
