We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Technician / Day Porter to join our client's team. This role is hands-on and requires someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning building.
Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Replace light ballasts and ensure emergency lights and EXIT signs are operational.

Inspect windows, doors, and blinds; report any issues.

Touch up paint in common areas, including restrooms and stairwells.

Maintain cleanliness in all common areas, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and lobby.

Restock restroom supplies and address spills, stains, or minor fixture repairs.

Ensure fire escapes are free of debris and unobstructed.

Provide lobby desk coverage during breaks and lunch periods.

Collaborate with building management and vendors to resolve maintenance issues.

Monitor building entrances and exits to maintain security.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a relevant apprenticeship required.

Proven experience in building maintenance, custodial, or technical roles.

Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
