Structural Steel Project Manager
Location: Norfolk County, MA (Projects Nationwide)
Job Type: Full-Time | Travel Required
Salary: $115,000-150,000
A growing and well-established construction firm is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to lead fabrication and erection projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact role with full project ownership—from planning through closeout—working alongside a strong operations and field team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Project Leadership
- Take full responsibility for structural steel projects from kickoff through completion
- Coordinate closely with operations, field leadership, and fabrication teams
Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Support operational planning and ensure alignment with field execution
- Oversee erection sequencing and coordination
Budget & Cost Control
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and billing
- Track and negotiate change orders and extra work
- Monitor cost performance and projections
Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage all project correspondence and documentation
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all work meets plans, specifications, and company standards
- Partner with safety leadership to uphold jobsite safety expectations
Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop project staff
- Delegate effectively and promote accountability across the team
What You Bring
- 10 years of project management experience in structural steel (fabrication and erection required)
- Strong understanding of steel construction methods, sequencing, and coordination
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and field operations simultaneously
- Effective communicator who can lead teams and build relationships with clients and partners
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
