We are hiring on behalf of a healthcare client seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a Medical-Surgical unit.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes during assigned shifts. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and may supervise LVNs/LPNs, nursing assistants, and support staff as assigned.
Care may involve adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations depending on unit assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
- Develop and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Implement safe and effective patient care interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans accordingly.
- Accurately document patient conditions and clinical procedures.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory standards.
- Identify and report patient safety concerns.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience as a licensed RN preferred.
- New graduate nurses with an active Graduate Nurse permit may be considered where permitted by law.
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN license in the state of employment or compact eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within designated timeframe.
- Additional certifications (e.g., PALS, TNCC, NRP) may be required based on unit assignment and must be obtained within employer-defined timeframes.
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of onboarding and competency validation.
- Compliance with all applicable state nursing regulations.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts.
