We are hiring on behalf of a healthcare client seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a Medical-Surgical unit.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for assigned patients during a defined shift. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and may provide supervision to LVNs/LPNs, nursing assistants, and other clinical support staff.
This role involves providing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations as applicable to the assigned unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Accurately document patient conditions and interventions.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
- Identify and report safety concerns in accordance with policy.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse preferred.
- New graduate nurses with an active Graduate Nurse permit may be considered where permitted by law.
Licenses & Certifications
- Active RN license in the state of employment or compact state eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required at hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within designated timeframe.
- Additional certifications (e.g., PALS, TNCC, NRP) may be required based on unit assignment and must be obtained within employer-defined timeframes.
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of orientation and competency validation.
- Compliance with all applicable state nursing regulations.
- Ability to work overnight shifts (7PM–7AM).
