Ideal Candidate

A manufacturing controller who is ready to step into the CFO seat and still enjoys being in the detail. You have run the close, built cost and variance reporting, and turned the numbers into clear recommendations for a CEO. You want to be the finance partner leadership leans on in a growing, profitable company with international operations.

Position Overview

The Senior Controller owns accounting and finance for the business and serves as the CEO’s financial partner, with a clear pathway to CFO. This is a hands-on role. You will run the monthly close and consolidation, own cost accounting and inventory, build the budget and forecasts, and manage the lender relationship, while delivering the analysis that tells leadership where the business is heading and why.

Lead Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close and consolidated financials, including international subsidiaries and currency translation
• Own standard costing, manufacturing variance reporting, inventory valuation and E&O
• Build the annual budget and rolling forecasts, and explain performance against plan to the CEO
• Analyze profitability by product, customer and channel, and support pricing, capital and contract decisions
• Manage lender reporting, covenant compliance, cash and the annual audit

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10 years in accounting and finance, including at least 4 years in manufacturing and Controller-level experience
• Hands-on command of cost accounting, BOM-based standard costing and variance analysis
• Multi-entity consolidation experience, including foreign subsidiaries
• Strong FP&A and the ability to explain financial results clearly to non-finance leaders
• CPA preferred; Sarasota or Tampa Bay area residence strongly preferred
