Job Overview
Azar Design Co is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with extensive experience to support a range of public and private infrastructure projects. This role involves working across all project phases, including planning, design, and construction administration.
Projects may include parks and greenspace, campuses, stormwater systems, utilities, and transportation infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and landscape professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee civil engineering design projects, including site design, grading, drainage, and roadway design
- Design and review stormwater management systems, utilities (water and sewer), and erosion and sediment control plans
- Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
- Develop stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) and perform related calculations
- Collaborate with project managers to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate and review work completed by junior engineers and designers
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and government agencies
- Support construction administration, including site visits and progress evaluations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Experience with site development, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Experience with stormwater design and modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD)
- Experience working on public infrastructure or multidisciplinary projects

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
