Production Equipment Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Equipment Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of production equipment at our facility in El Dorado Hills, California. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the installation and relocation of production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
The ideal candidate has experience working with high-speed production equipment and can interpret technical manuals and service documentation to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesday
- Work Environment: Onsite manufacturing/production facility
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues to minimize production downtime
- Respond to technical support requests and resolve equipment problems promptly
- Log maintenance activities and service requests in the technician tracking system (e.g., CMMS such as FIIX)
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, controls, and production equipment components
- Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware associated with production equipment where applicable
- Assist with installation and relocation of production equipment
- Track parts usage and recommend appropriate inventory levels
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation in compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with production or manufacturing equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing high-speed production equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and equipment documentation
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or equipment repair
- Vendor or equipment repair certification for platforms such as BlueCrest, Bowe, Buhrs, or similar production equipment
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
