Job Summary
The Lead Caregiver / Client Support Assistant provides personal care and household services for clients in their homes, while also assisting the office team with coordination and quality assurance. This person serves as a companion to clients and a liaison between caregivers and office staff, helping ensure safe, organized, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
Field Caregiving (:20 hrs/week):
- Provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking support
- Fill in for open shifts, caregiver callouts, or introduction
- Communicate client changes or safety concerns to office staff
- Assist with caregiver scheduling and phone coverage
- Support new caregiver orientation and introductions
- Conduct documentation follow-ups, check-in calls, and QMP tracking
- Attend team meetings and share field feedback
- Must be at least 18yrs old
- 1.5 year of caregiving experience (home care or facility)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
- Must maintain confidentiality with client and agency information
- Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, and squat throughout the day.
- Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
- Use arms, legs, feet, hands, and fingers to assist clients with performing tasks of daily living.
- Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving.
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Ability to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)
