This role involves verifying authorizations and service documentation, submitting weekly claims, and following up on denied or unpaid claims to secure proper reimbursement. The Medical Biller collaborates closely with administrative and care coordination teams to maintain complete and compliant records while upholding HIPAA standards and protecting patient confidentiality. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of home care billing practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline‑driven environment.

This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of home care billing practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Create weekly invoices
- Reconcile paper checks from Long Term Care Insurance and Private Pay
- Reconcile Medicaid payments
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Client billing questions through phone calls and email
- Approve daily work schedules as a second check (EVV's)
- Update and use Quickbooks Online to manage invoices and Payments
- Charge client credit cards/provide refunds as needed
- Print and mail/email receipts to Private Pay Clients weekly
- Write thank you cards and birthday cards for clients
- Double check new client profiles when entered
- High school diploma
- Prior experience in medical billing within home care, home health, or another healthcare setting preferred
- Basic experience with Quickbooks Online
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Must be at least 18yrs old
