The Working Supervisor will oversee commercial cleaning operations within an assigned area, ensuring service commitments to customers are met and delivered within budget. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team, meet customer needs, and maintain high standards of service. This hands-on supervisor will monitor performance metrics and be responsible for daily operations, service quality audits, and addressing staffing needs.
Recruiting & Training
Actively promote current and potential openings to your team, encouraging the use of our Referral Bonus program.
Assist in recruiting for open positions within your accounts.
Train new hires and existing employees on ServiceMaster SOPs, including proper cleaning procedures and mobile application use (e.g., Paycom).
Daily Operations & Reporting
Complete and submit daily recaps of assigned buildings inspections and any issues encountered.
Review trusty photos and conduct periodic building audits to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Notify the office of call-outs and coordinate coverage to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
Order consumables as needed, manage building supplies and control inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Address and Close clients requests/complains tickets promptly.
Leadership & Safety
Serve as a role model by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Ensure that all service partners are compliant with safety protocols including the proper use of uniform, shoes, and report any safety concerns to HR/Safety Manager.
Be on-call to address special requests from clients, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness.
Work Schedule
This position requires a time commitment outside a normal 8-hour work day. In addition, you may be required to work weekends. However, we are committed to providing a work-life balance to all ServiceMaster employees. The Director of Operations, Regional Manager, support desk, and the Safety and Training Manager will support you and your team during hours that fall outside your normal shift.
Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Proficient in Google Suite, Paycom, and CompanyCam.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple sites and operate under pressure.
Self-motivated, energetic, and able to hold others accountable.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 35 pounds and carry a 25-pound backpack vacuum cleaner.
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
Must be willing to work in damp, dusty, or soiled areas and handle human waste and other bodily fluids when necessary.
