We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex audits, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide valuable insights into financial operations. Your expertise will help uphold the integrity of our financial reporting and internal controls, supporting the organization’s commitment to transparency and excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to mentor work with other accounting team members and department managers, refine audit processes, and contribute to our ongoing success in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute comprehensive internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
- Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop General Ledger along with other POS and software including Bill.com, RMS Property Mgmt, Reslogic, Club Prophet and triple Seat and Mind Body online.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, financial statements, and management summaries that clearly interpret complex financial data. Quickbooks Memorized reports module and Excel.
- Conduct account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and bank reconciliations with precision using accounting software QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
- Perform financial analysis including cash flow analysis, budget variance analysis, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in accounting or corporate finance with a focus on financial reporting and technical accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel including VLOOKUP function), and spreadsheets for data analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in general ledger accounting, journal entries, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to interpret complex financial concepts such as accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and cash flow analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on financial report writing, depreciation schedules and interpretation; adept at Excel data analysis for forecasting and trend identification.
