Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Tallahassee, Florida (Remote, Required to live in FL)
Duration: 1 yr, plus extension
Rate: W2 CHP
Start Date: October, 2026
Responsibilities:
A. Ensure all project activities comply with Florida Rules 60GG-1.001 through 60GG-1.009, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), including governance, documentation, oversight, and reporting requirements. Evaluate project management practices, governance structures, and documentation to ensure alignment with statewide standards, best practices, and the operational objectives of Workforce Information Technology Solution (WITS) and supported bureaus.
B. Provide coordination, status reporting, and management of project-oriented work efforts across WITS, bureau leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
C. Establish, lead, manage, and implement multiple medium-to-high complexity IT projects concurrently, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and business objectives are achieved while supporting WITS strategic initiatives and bureau operational priorities.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, business administration, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
2. Project Management certification or successful completion of an industry recognized project management curriculum is required.
3. A minimum of seven (7) years of IT work experience, including seven (7) or more years managing complex cross-functional projects.
4. Experience with projects in multiple technologies and programmatic areas.
5. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, stakeholder management, risk management, and change management techniques.
6.Active PMP certification is required
7.Government-related projects is required.
