Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations for patients with dual diagnoses of mental illness and substance use disorder or substance use disorder alone.
- Provide follow-up medication management visits, overseeing pharmacologic treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with therapists and counselors to develop and implement individualized care strategies.
- Manage outpatient withdrawal protocols and administer pharmacologic agents such as Suboxone, Sublocade, and Vivitrol.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Participate in occasional call schedules, which are typically voluntary but may be assigned as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical and safety protocols related to addiction treatment.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state.
- Proven experience in outpatient addiction treatment settings, including work with dual diagnosis patients.
- Familiarity with prescribing and administering pharmacologic agents for substance use disorder.
- Competence in outpatient withdrawal management protocols.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience working with adolescent patients preferred.
- Additional certifications in addiction medicine or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an Addiction Psychiatrist in an outpatient setting.
- Prior experience in prescribing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorder.
Salary : $275,000 - $300,000
