What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator/Material Handler position at Takumi Stamping?
Takumi Stamping, Inc. of Texas currently has openings for Machine Operator. The position will be responsible for operating a spot welding machines according to specifications applying knowledge of machining methods. This is an entry level position, therefore, on the job training will be provided.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operate a spot-welding machine.
- Complete production based on Kanban production.
- Must perform quality checks on parts.
- Document production results.
- Required to material handle.
- Required to perform destructive testing on the parts.
- Load components.
- Expected to keep their work area organized and orderly and make sure that production parts, tools, test equipment and documentation are properly stored and maintained.
- They must follow the targets and deadlines set.
- Must follow all the safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations.
- Repetition of certain steps is at the core of this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Team work is extremely important in this line of work.
- Must be organized and know how to maintain equipment.
- Need to have excellent manual dexterity and should be able to work with detailed objects.
- Able to work rotating shifts.
- Communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must have exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.

Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
