Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Shall function as the principal integrator between OASA IE&E leadership, Army Communications Outreach Office (ACOO), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) elements and installation stakeholders to ensure unified, strategically aligned messaging across installations, energy, environment, housing and transformation initiatives.
- The role focuses on strategic coherence and integration, not routine public affairs.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and digital communication platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and edit executive-level products (talking points, speeches, correspondence, and press responses).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience support SES Flag/General Officers, or political appointees.
- Familiarity with DoW/Army public affairs processes and coordination requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and proactively support senior leader communication priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, with 5 years of relevant experience supporting Senior Government Officials
- Experience developing and executing strategic communications in a Department of War (DoW) environment
- Experience coordinating with Public Affairs Offices (PAO), Congressional Affairs, and external stakeholders to align messaging
- Active Tier-1 or SECRET security clearance
