Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to pick up and deliver freight along designated routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong understanding of route driving and heavy lifting procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients.
