Pet Sitter / Dog Walker (Part-Time → Growth to Full-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and animal-loving Pet Sitter and Dog Walker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for animals and takes pride in providing attentive, high-quality care.

This role involves caring for pets in their homes, walking dogs in various environments, and ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while also creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Take Meowt is a professional pet care company based in the Charlotte area and expanding . We are building a strong, dependable team, not just hiring gig workers.

Duties

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring proper exercise and stimulation
• Provide drop-in visits including feeding, water refresh, and general care
• Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or behavioral changes
• Maintain a safe environment, including managing interactions with other animals and people
• Reinforce basic training and good behavior during walks
• Clean litter boxes and pet areas as needed
• Communicate clearly with pet owners, including visit updates and photos
• Maintain accurate visit records and report any concerns
• Handle occasional physical tasks such as managing larger dogs or carrying supplies

Schedule

• Flexible
• Availability between 7am to 6pm preferred
• Weekend and holiday availability is a plus
• Opportunity for overnights or extended daytime care is optional but preferred

Requirements

• Reliable transportation required
• Smartphone with internet access
• Comfortable entering clients’ homes independently
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in animal care, dog walking, or pet sitting
• Background in veterinary care, grooming, or training
• Experience with multiple pets, senior pets, or medications
• Comfort caring for exotic pets or farm animals
