Takedown Lawn Care is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lawn Care Crew Member to join our team for the remainder of the 2026 season, working through approximately the end of October.
No professional lawn care experience is required. We will fully train the right person.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants to learn the lawn care industry. Employees who perform well will receive an offer to return for the 2027 season beginning in the spring.
What You'll Do
As a Lawn Care Crew Member, you'll work alongside an experienced crew member and be trained on our equipment, procedures, and quality standards.
Typical work will include:
- Residential and commercial lawn mowing
- String trimming and edging
- Blowing off sidewalks, driveways, patios, and other surfaces
- Operating commercial lawn mowers and handheld equipment
- Fall leaf cleanups
- Mowing and bagging leaves
- Hedge and shrub trimming
- Loading, unloading, and maintaining equipment
- General property cleanup
- Other seasonal lawn and landscape work as needed
As we move further into the fall, the position will transition heavily toward fall cleanups and leaf removal.

Previous lawn care or landscaping experience is helpful, but not required.
Training
We don't expect you to know everything on day one.
You will receive hands-on training covering:
- Commercial mower operation
- Proper trimming and edging techniques
- Efficient mowing patterns
- Property cleanup and quality standards
- Safe equipment operation
- Fall cleanup procedures
- Equipment loading and unloading
- Daily crew procedures
Our goal is to fully train you as a lawn care crew member so that you can confidently return next spring already knowing our equipment and expectations.
Schedule
This is a seasonal position through approximately the end of October 2026.
Work is primarily Monday–Friday during daytime hours, although hours can vary depending on weather and workload. Occasional weekend work may be necessary due to weather delays or seasonal demand.
Opportunity to Return in 2027
We are looking for more than just short-term help.
Crew members who demonstrate reliability, a good attitude, quality work, and the ability to work efficiently will be offered the opportunity to return to Takedown Lawn Care for the 2027 season.
This position is an opportunity to get fully trained this fall and come back next spring ready to take on a larger role as a crew lead with the company.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 lbs when necessary
- Comfortable working around commercial lawn care equipment
- Must be dependable and able to consistently arrive on time
