What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Specialist position at Takeda?
We’re looking for a Customer Service Specialist who genuinely enjoys helping people.
In this role, you’ll be one of the main people our customers turn to when they have a question, need help solving a problem, or simply aren’t sure what to do next. You’ll listen, understand what they need, and work with them to find a solution.
This isn’t just about answering emails or closing support tickets. It’s about making people feel heard, respected, and taken care of — even when they’re reaching out because something hasn’t gone as planned.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to customer questions through email, phone, chat, or other support channels.
- Listen carefully and understand the real issue behind a customer’s question.
- Resolve customer concerns with patience, professionalism, and a practical approach.
- Explain products, services, policies, and processes in a way that’s easy to understand.
- Follow up when needed rather than leaving customers wondering what happens next.
- Work with other teams to resolve issues that require additional support.
- Keep accurate notes and records of customer interactions.
- Identify recurring customer issues and share feedback that could help improve the customer experience.
- Help create a positive experience for customers at every stage of their interaction with us.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have every qualification listed below. We’re most interested in someone who cares about people and takes pride in doing good work.
You’ll likely be a strong fit if you:
- Communicate clearly and naturally, both verbally and in writing.
- Are a good listener and don’t rush to assumptions.
- Stay calm and respectful when dealing with frustrated customers.
- Take ownership instead of passing problems from one person to another.
- Know when to solve something yourself and when to ask for help.
- Are comfortable learning new systems and technology.
- Pay attention to details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Can manage multiple customer requests while keeping the quality of your work high.
- Bring a positive, dependable attitude to the team.
Previous customer service experience is a plus, but it’s not the only thing we value. If you’ve worked in hospitality, retail, administration, sales, or another people-focused role and have a strong instinct for helping others, we’d like to hear from you.
What We Offer
- A supportive team where you can ask questions and learn.
- Training and guidance to help you succeed in the role.
- Opportunities to develop your customer service and professional skills.
- A workplace where your ideas and feedback are welcomed.
- [Benefits, health insurance, PTO, retirement plan, etc.]
- Remote
A Note About Our Team
We believe good customer service starts with treating people well — both our customers and each other.
You’ll be joining a team where we value kindness, accountability, clear communication, and a willingness to help. We don’t expect perfection. We do expect people to care, take responsibility, and keep learning.
If that sounds like the kind of workplace you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.
