Join Takeda as an Associate Director, Regulatory Digital Innovation where you will Implement AI based data and digital solutions to bring innovation to Regulatory Affairs. You will partner with the Business Engagement Lead to prioritize opportunities and collaborate with external and internal technical resources to deliver on those opportunities. Educate, demonstrate, guide, and enable the application of AI/ML in various Regulatory business areas. Contribute to build and implement the group’s digital strategy in line with organizational values, objectives and priorities, and take a hands-on approach to steer solution design and implementation.
You will also bring technical expertise to the prioritization approach to develop a roadmap for innovation with the relevant processes, tools and metrics to support business objectives and new growth opportunities. In partnership with leadership, you will provide input into the digital roadmap and presents solutions to the business cases to demonstrate the value of digital solution development to the organization.
You will work collaboratively with the Regulatory Information Management team to identify opportunities to bridge traditional systems (Like VEEVA RIM) with digital technologies to improve speed and quality of Regulatory Operations. As part of the Regulatory Digital Innovation team, you will report to the Director Regulatory Digital Innovation.
How you will contribute:
- Serve as the lead in defining and delivering the technology to meet the Global Regulatory Operations business requirements. This will include partnering with internal (DSI) and external vendors and working hand in hand with the Business Engagement Lead.
- Partner closely with RIM team to implement novel digital solutions as an extension to the existing traditional solutions.
- Represent Takeda in industry forums and cross company initiatives to share and bring in new ideas.
- Significant knowledge regarding the latest emerging technologies (i.e. Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, NLP, NLG, Internet of Things (IoT), and future technologies).
- Validate, optimize, and debug solutions provided by the technical resources.
- Collaborate with Data Analytics team to provide the necessary technical stack to support their initiatives.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or related experience is required. Scientific or closely related field preferred.
- 5 years of digital work experience, 5 years of cultural transformation experience, in-depth experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or High Tech industry
- Emerging Methodologies & Technologies
- Understanding in regulatory publishing and Information management tools is preferred.
- Demonstrates high level of leadership, problem-solving ability, flexibility and teamwork.
- Exercises good judgement in elevating and communicating actual or potential issues to line management.

This position is currently classified as "hybrid" in accordance with Takeda's Hybrid and Remote Work policy.
Base Salary Range: $ 143,000 - $205,000, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short-term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.
The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
