About the role
The Associate Director, Head of IG Purification Manufacturing is responsible for leading a multi-shift, 24/7 operation team to manufacture the final IG product before filling operations. This role ensures the efficient and compliant production of goods, aligning with Takeda's mission to bring better health to people and a brighter future to the world.
How you will contribute
Lead a cross functional manufacturing unit responsible for current and future production needs
Ensure products are provided to customers on time so that product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies are met.
Identify/prioritize/provide resources to assist the department director to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.
Supervise the daily manufacturing operations across a department or multiple departments.
Emphasize training and implement control systems on the shift or multiple shifts to eliminate product discrepancies.
Commit to employee feedback and developmental processes.
Interfaces with the other managers/customers to ensure our quality commitments are met. Also, to ensure consistency in personnel policy administration across the plant.
Help prepare budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility.
Responsible for assuring compliances to all regulatory requirements — FDA, OSHA, OFCCP, EPA, etc.
Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any departments specific requirements.
Perform analytical review, recommend, and implement corrective action for any exception condition.
Work with divisional personnel in support of projects within areas of responsibility.
Support plant-wide strategic plan programs and activities.
What you bring to Takeda
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science, engineering, or other related technical field.
8+ years of related experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
Management Skills:
Proven ability to manage departmental activities through subordinates exercising complete supervision over cost, methods, and employees.
Technical and Analytical Skills:
Capability to interpret and analyze statistical data, financial information, and technical reports.
Skilled in identifying and resolving technical difficulties.
Multitasking and Resourcefulness:
Expertise in managing multiple priorities within a manufacturing plant environment.
Resourcefulness in overseeing a large manufacturing department.

Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
Work in a cold, wet environment.
Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
Salary : $154,000 - $241,000
