Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Credit Counselor for a full-time, on-site position located in Plantation, FL. In this role, you will speak with clients to provide personalized financial counseling and develop tailored strategies for managing and consolidating debt. Responsibilities include reviewing financial situations, educating clients on budgeting and savings, and recommending actionable solutions to improve financial health. You will also provide empathetic support and encouragement as clients take steps toward financial stability.
Qualifications

- solid understanding of credit and financing
- Strong Interpersonal Skills with the ability to build trust and provide empathetic guidance
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Ability and willingness to guide qualified clients into enrolling in the organization’s debt management program
- Ability to work independently and effectively in an on-site environment
- Experience working in nonprofit or financial counseling organizations is a plus
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
