Position Summary

The District Manager is responsible for leading the operations, financial performance, and people development of multiple Take 5 Oil Change locations within an assigned market. This position partners closely with Store Managers to drive sales growth, improve operational performance, maintain exceptional customer service, and build a culture focused on safety, accountability, and leadership development.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching others, analyzing business performance, and leading by example.

What You'll Do

Operations & Performance

• Lead the daily operations of multiple Take 5 Oil Change locations.
• Ensure every location consistently delivers fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Monitor key performance indicators including sales, car count, labor, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Conduct regular store visits, operational reviews, and business audits.
• Ensure company operating procedures and safety standards are consistently followed.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop Store Managers and Assistant Managers.
• Build high-performing teams through ongoing coaching, accountability, and leadership development.
• Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for management teams.
• Foster a culture built on teamwork, integrity, recognition, and continuous improvement.

Customer Experience

• Ensure every customer receives an outstanding Take 5 experience.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Drive improvements in customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Promote a culture where exceptional service is the standard.

Financial Management

• Manage district sales, expenses, labor, and profitability.
• Analyze financial reports and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and execute action plans that drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
• Ensure inventory and expense controls are maintained across all locations.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote a safety-first culture across every location.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of multi-unit leadership experience in automotive service, retail, restaurant, or another customer-focused service industry.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple teams and improving operational performance.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and use data to drive business decisions.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned district.
