How this role drives the company forward:
The MarTech (Marketing Technical) Specialist is responsible for overseeing Takara Bio USA’s marketing automation platform, including its integration with Salesforce and other digital platforms. The MarTech Specialist will collaborate with the Product Management and Digital Marketing teams to create complex email campaigns, establish rules, and manage lead automation and customer data segmentation processes.
The MarTech Specialist is an on-site role located in San Jose, CA.
How you will make an impact:
In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Marketing Content Writers, and the Digital Campaign Specialist to develop and implement targeted and impactful email campaigns and customer surveys. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Takara Bio’s Marketo instance and maintaining a cleansed and curated database of customer emails by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. With support from the Data Marketing Analyst, you will regularly review performance metrics and recommend ways to refine and optimize strategies while staying abreast of marketing trends and technologies to enhance email deliverability and engagement.

What will you do:
- Manage, and troubleshoot all aspects of Marketo, including integration with Salesforce and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the product marketing and digital marketing teams to develop complex email and nurture campaigns.
- Design and document campaign rules/triggers and lead automation workflows.
- Manage all customer record data segmented in Marketo.
- Work with business stakeholders to implement surveys using SurveyMonkey and report on survey results.
- Maintain and implement campaign promotions using Qualtrics.
- Implement and publish content using an internal web content management system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Maintain a library of marketing automation documentation and training materials for TBUSA's digital marketing platforms, ensuring they are well-organized and up-to-date.
- Provide training to employees on Marketo, Qualtrics, and Web Content Management system.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related degree.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience with Marketo with 1 year at the administrator level.
- Marketo Certified is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Marketing and Sales cycle.
- Email Marketing experience, including drip sequences, operational emails, and automated triggers.
- Extensive knowledge of Marketo and Salesforce preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong appreciation for timelines and due dates and a keen eye for detail.
- Digital marketing experience within the biotechnology space is preferred.
