General Purpose of Position:
- As a Returns Processing and Returns Request Handling Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage and facilitate the returns process efficiently and address customer requests for returns.
- This role requires meticulous attention to detail, effective communication with customers, and collaboration with various departments to ensure a smooth and satisfactory returns experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upon receiving a customer's request for a return, promptly initiate communication via phone or email to ensure swift contact and provide appropriate assistance.
- Verify information provided by the customer, including reasons for the return, product condition, and shipment details. Respond appropriately based on the confirmed information.
- Clearly explain the return process and necessary procedures to the customer.
- Execute the retrieval procedure for items requested for return. Collaborate with the shipping department as needed to ensure a smooth retrieval process.
- Verify the received items, promptly hand them over to the inspection team, and, if necessary, expedite communication of inspection results.
- Input information into the database to maintain transparency in the returns process.
- Provide clear and accurate information to the refund processing department for a seamless transition.
- Collaborate with various departments to address any issues related to returned items, proposing solutions to the customer.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in customer service or returns management is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
And additional responsibilities delegated by management.

Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some training in mechanical devices
- Some training in electronics
- Some training in Personal Computer usage
Training &/or Experience:
- Extensive experience in Technical and Customer Service
- Some experience in mechanics, electronics, and Personal Computers
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of general mechanics and electronics.
- Knowledge of Personal Computers and Microsoft software.
- Prior experience with Dynamics GP and SalesPad is advantageous.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have knowledge of and experience in using a multi-meter.
- This position has frequent contact with Takara Belmont & non-Takara Belmont customers.
- This position has liaison duties with Takara Belmont and non-Takara Belmont personnel as required.
