Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Asset Manager to join our team on-site in Newport Beach, CA. This role reports directly to senior leadership and is responsible for managing day-to-day asset performance across a portfolio of approximately 2,500 units. Responsibilities include monthly financial variance review, rent roll audits, lease expiration tracking, renewal strategy execution, capex and renovation tracking, market survey updates, and investor reporting. The Asset Manager will serve as a consistent point of contact for our capital partners and will work directly with property management teams to hold them accountable to budget and operational targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in asset management, real estate investments, or property management
- 3–5 years of asset management experience in multifamily real estate — you should know what healthy operations look like and how to diagnose when they're not
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and data analysis
- Fluency in NOI, DSCR, cap rate, yield on cost, and CoC — not just definitions, but how they move and why
- Knowledge of multifamily real estate, market trends, and value-add strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with stakeholders
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel, financial analysis platforms, and property management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field is required; advanced degrees (MBA, Real Estate certifications) are a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to be based in Newport Beach, CA, with the ability to travel as needed
Compensation: $95,000 – $115,000 base, plus performance bonus. We're building for the long term and expect this role to grow with the portfolio.
