Full-Time Flex Pet Care & Client Service Associate

Job Overview

TailTopia is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and flexible team member to join our dog boarding and daycare facility!

This is a part-time flex position, meaning you will be trained to work in multiple areas of our facility and scheduled where you are needed most. Responsibilities may include caring for boarding pets, cleaning and maintaining the facility, feeding and administering medications, completing pet care tasks, bathing and brushing grooming pets,and Client Care team at the front desk.

This is a hands-on, active position. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with animals but also understands that professional pet care involves a significant amount of cleaning, attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care for dogs and other boarding pets.
• Feed pets according to individual instructions and dietary requirements.
• Administer medications according to facility procedures and client instructions.
• Complete potty breaks, yard rotations, enrichment activities, and other assigned pet care duties.
• Clean and sanitize boarding suites, daycare areas, yards, dishes, laundry, and other areas of the facility.
• Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, or overall well-being and promptly communicate concerns to management.
• Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling reservations and appointments, checking pets in and out, and responding to client questions.
• Accurately enter information into facility software and maintain organized client and pet records.
• Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and management, zero drama.
• Follow all facility safety procedures, cleaning protocols, and pet handling policies.
• Assist coworkers and work in different areas of the facility based on staffing levels and business needs.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and daily facility tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Weekends are mandatory
• Must be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Must be willing to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, cleaning, and working indoors and outdoors.
• Must be comfortable cleaning urine, feces, vomit, and other messes associated with animal care.
• Must be able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must have strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Must be comfortable interacting with clients and providing professional customer service.
• Must be willing to learn multiple positions within the facility.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to move quickly
• Previous experience working with animals, in a boarding facility, daycare, veterinary clinic, grooming salon, or customer service position is preferred but not required.

Schedule Requirements

This position requires flexible availability. Our facility operates seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Weekends and holidays are mandatory.

Applicants must be available to work a combination of:

• Morning shifts
• Afternoon and evening shifts
• Weekends
• Holidays

Schedules may vary based on boarding occupancy, staffing needs, and the needs of the facility.

Pay: $15.15 - $18.00 per hour
