Job description
Tailswag is a pet boutique and treat bar located at 50 Main Street in Littleton, NH. We are looking for someone to join our team who is a friendly and reliable self-starter that is able to work independently, loves petting dogs, and has a great sense of humor. Schedule
2-3 days a week, some Saturdays required. Store hours are 11-5 during the week, 10-5 on weekends. Slightly extended hours in the summertime.
Job Duties
- Opening, closing, and performing daily operations at our busy retail store in Littleton, NH
- Assisting customers with fitting their pets for harnesses, collars, accessories, etc.
- Preparing and packaging online orders and in-store pickups
- Light cleaning duties (this includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces, and occasionally cleaning up after pets)
- Processing and restocking inventory as needed, which also includes tagging and displaying items as well as tracking inventory and reporting low stock
- Restocking and prepping shopping bags, to-go treat containers, etc.
- Answer customers' questions about different products and brands and make suggestions based on product knowledge and pet's needs
- Answer phone calls and field customers' questions/take messages as necessary
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be very comfortable around dogs, cats, and people
- Must be able to lift up to ~50 pounds
- Previous professional experience working with dogs and cats strongly preferred
- Previous retail experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn a must
- Knowledge of the local area a plus
