We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator in Orange County to join our team. This role involves providing on-site technical support, installations, and maintenance for clients. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth operations, and educating clients on IT best practices. You will play a key role in delivering reliable and efficient IT support, helping our clients maintain a secure and optimized technology environment.
Responsibilities
- On-Site Support & Troubleshooting – Provide hands-on IT support for hardware, software, and network issues at client locations.
- Set up and configure workstations, servers, networking equipment, and software.
- Maintain network & infrastructure – Diagnose and repair network issues, ensure proper cabling, and optimize connectivity.
- Conduct regular system checks, firmware updates, and hardware inspections to prevent downtime.
- Customer Training & Support – Educate clients on IT best practices, security, and basic troubleshooting.
- Incident & Ticket Management – Document work performed in ConnectWise, resolve tickets, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Hardware Replacement & Asset Management – Replace faulty equipment, track inventory, and maintain asset documentation.
- Security & Compliance Checks – Ensure client environments adhere to security policies, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), backups, and patch management.
- Collaboration with Service Desk & Account Managers – Communicate findings, escalate major issues, and provide feedback on recurring client problems.
- Provide on-call or emergency response support as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Technician, Service Analyst, System Administrator similar role, ideally within an MSP environment.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks).
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, patch management, and MFA.
- Experience with ConnectWise or similar ticketing systems for incident tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT support.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft 365 Certified, or Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
