Job Title: Personal Support Caregiver (In-Home)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Caregiver to assist a female client in her late 30s in a private home setting in Apollo Beach, Florida. This is a consistent, weekday position focused on providing hands-on support with daily living activities, companionship, and maintaining a structured, comfortable environment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Some flexibility may be available (adjusted start times may be discussed with the family)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
- Bathroom assistance
- Hand hygiene support
- Support with light household tasks:
- Making the bed
- Folding and putting away laundry
- Provide supervision and ensure client safety, especially due to occasional unsteady gait
- Engage client in simple, structured activities such as:
- Reading
- Alphabet and color identification
- Encourage light physical activity within the home (walking indoors)
- Assist with G-tube care (experience preferred; training available)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and supportive environment
Work Environment:
- 100% in-home care
- Client remains inside the home; no community outings required
- Caregiver is expected to remain in the home for the duration of the shift
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening
- Ability to obtain APD-required credentials if not already held
- Must be comfortable wearing a mask during the entire shift
- Vaccination preferred
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities
- G-tube experience
- CPR and First Aid certification
- APD certifications, including:
- Zero Tolerance
- Direct Care Core Competency
- HIPAA training
Additional Information:
- Training and onboarding support will be provided
- Shadowing opportunities are available prior to the official start date
