Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
• Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining or high-volume settings.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and familiarity with various cooking methods.
• Experience with menu planning and understanding dietary requirements is a plus.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment are essential.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
