Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Daycare/Kennel Attendant to join our pet care team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, clean, and engaging environment for dogs in our care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent handling skills, and the ability to manage animal behavior effectively. Responsibilities
- Handle dogs safely and confidently during playtime, feeding, and rest periods.
- Monitor and supervise dogs to ensure their safety and well-being throughout their stay.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the pet care facility, including kennels, play areas, and common spaces.
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering basic care as needed.
- Observe animal behavior closely to identify any signs of stress, illness, or discomfort.
- Enforce facility policies to promote positive interactions among animals and staff.
- Provide companionship and enrichment activities to keep dogs engaged and happy.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding each dog's needs or concerns.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques.
- Ability to remain calm and patient when managing multiple dogs or challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Attention to detail in maintaining sanitation standards within the facility.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, or move dogs as needed and perform cleaning tasks.
