CONTINUING EDUCATION – TAI CHI INSTRUCTOR

Olive-Harvey College, Continuing Education department is seeking an instructor to teach Tai Chi. If you have a passion for teaching and learning and are committed to the mission of the community college, consider joining our team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Instructor provides professional, engaging and effective group classes.
- Provide instruction and coaching to class attendee.
- Coordinates and prepares music and class routine as necessary.
- Exercise safety awareness and practices.
- Follows and enforces department policies, rules and regulations while maintaining a friendly attitude.
- Strong communication skills to deliver course content.
- Ensure that the class attendees are satisfied with the lessons.
- Begin and end class on time.
- Accurately record class participation and collect participants' surveys at the end of each class.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current nationally recognized Tai Chi Certification.
- One year teaching and/or training experience preferred.
- Must be able to work with participants individually and in groups, using various demonstrations methods.
- Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the skills to network, engage and interact with participants.
- Must communicate professionally and have a positive attitude at all times.
Salary: $40.00/hour
