SUBSTITUTE PRE-EMPLOYMENT- For individuals interested in substitute teaching with a valid California Credential or valid Substitute Permit, please contact avenegas@ttusd.org to schedule an appointment. If your credential or permit has expired, you must renew online at www.ctc.ca.gov prior to your appointment. For information about substitute teaching requirements in California, please visit www.ctc.ca.gov. For information about the CBEST or other CTC exams, please visit www.ctcexams.nesinc.com.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR OBTAINING A SUBSTITUTE TEACHING PERMIT WITHOUT A CALIFORNIA CREDENTIAL: The following documents will be required for submission with your application: - Bachelor's Degree or Higher - Official Transcript - Application Fees are $100 (online) - Fingerprints - you will need to download the LiveScan form from www.ctc.ca.gov and be fingerprinted for the Commission on Teacher Credentialing Please contact rgallup@ttusd.org so we can help you submit your Substitute application to the CTC. Permit processing times are approximately 50 days from when the application is received by CTC.
