What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Repair Technician position at Tahoe Supply Co.?
We are the leading janitorial equipment repair facility in Nevada. Customer satisfaction is our top priority with our in-house and onsite equipment repair services. The equipment that we service ranges from standard vacuum cleaners, to ride on battery powered floor scrubbers, along with carpet extractors, pressure washers, and propane buffers. Qualified candidates should have:
- Mechanical/Diagnostic background.
- Experience in diagnostics and repair of janitorial equipment. The ability to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical and propane powered engines.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- The ability to read parts break downs and schematics.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
- The ability to keep a clean van and organized files.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to safety lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours.
- Proficient PC Skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual a plus.
Essential Duties
- To properly diagnose and repair janitorial equipment
- Coordinate with management and sales team on customer appointments.
- Calculate estimates on parts and labor cost for customer.
- Label and repair all machines as required.
- Upon completion of repair, properly complete repair work order.
- Make on-site service calls to customer locations for larger equipment when not feasible to bring into Service Department.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the Service Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
