Summary Description
Tahoe Resource Conservation District (Tahoe RCD) is a non-regulatory special district that promotes the conservation, stewardship and knowledge of the Lake Tahoe Region’s natural resources by providing leadership and innovative environmental services to all stakeholders.

The Watercraft Inspection Program (WIP) is a well‐coordinated, collaborative and successful aquatic invasive species (AIS) prevention effort that provides technical assistance to project partners and residents within the Lake Tahoe Region. Tahoe RCD and its program partners, including the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, work closely together to fully implement this program on public and private lands.

Seasonal Watercraft Inspectors are the frontline for preventing the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) around the Tahoe Region. Working with a team, Watercraft Inspectors inspect all watercraft for AIS prior to launching, and decontaminate those presenting a risk to our waters. This position works 10hr days in the field and has 3 day weekends with multiple bonuses available for employees in good standing.

Individuals with drive and passion should all apply. Whether you are environmentally focused or mechanically minded, looking to start or develop your career, or just looking for a summer job in beautiful Lake Tahoe, we welcome you to come be a part of our team.
