Job Summary: The Pool Deck Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional service to club members and guests at the pool deck area, maintaining access control and the cleanliness and appearance of the pool deck, Pavilion and the fitness facility.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Pool Deck Attendant:

- Greet club members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool users.
- Monitor the pool area and promptly respond to any safety concerns or incidents.
- Set up and arrange pool furniture, umbrellas, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck area, including picking up towels, trash, and other debris.
- Ensure pool furniture is clean and in good condition.
- Monitor pool water quality and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist club members and guests with any requests or inquiries related to the pool area.
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for club members and guests.
Food Runner:

- Assist in delivering food and beverage orders from the kitchen to poolside tables or designated areas.
- Ensure accuracy and presentation of food and beverage items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized food and beverage service area.
- Assist with restocking supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
- Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines.
Day Porter Responsibilities (Fitness Facility):
- Clean and maintain the fitness facility, including exercise equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure all fitness equipment is clean, functioning properly, and properly arranged.
- Restock supplies, such as towels and sanitizing wipes.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the locker rooms and restrooms, including restocking toiletries and cleaning fixtures.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, such as doorknobs, handrails, and countertops.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in the fitness facility, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols and guidelines.
- Other duties, as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Basic knowledge of pool safety and rules is a plus.
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines.
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.
Reports to: Member Services and Recreation Manager and the Public Area Attendant Supervisor Manager

Qualifications:Education/Experience: Must be 16 years of age or older. Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred. Must provide valid high school approved work permit at time of onboarding.
Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from guests.
Certificates/Licenses/Safety Training: SERVsafe Certificate, Harassment Prevention Training, Workplace Violence Prevention, Heat Illness Prevention. BloodeBorn Pathogen and all other required onboarding checklists, orientations, and policy acknowledgements must be completed within in first 30 days of hire.
