What are the responsibilities and job description for the GUEST SERVICES ASSISTANT (OUTSIDE SERVICES) position at Tahoe Mountain Club?
Job Summary: As a member of the Guest Services Team, the Guest Services Assistant is responsible for acquiring and implementing the skills and language programs as provided by Tahoe Mountain Club’s Training Program. It is the responsibility of the Guest Services Assistant to assume the exceptional presentation of all physical properties related to operations (i.e. golf carts, practice balls and facilities, cart storage, and any other related equipment used to perform daily operations).
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Must poses basic knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures.
- Retrieve golf carts on request.
- Load and unload golf bags in/out of vehicles.
- Inform Members of any unusual conditions that exist on the course.
- Communicate with other Outside Service Staff to ensure that all players tee off at their scheduled times.
- Greet members at end of round, record finish time and reports it to the Golf Shop.
- Clean golf clubs and maintain golf carts and cart barn area. May carry out starting and marshalling duties.
- Other job duties as assigned
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.
Qualifications:Education/Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent or 2 years experience in related environment.
Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates use are in English). Maintain effective communication between all staff members in regards to course operations and human resource issues. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
